Dimmable Solutions
Pyrotech LED drivers are compatible with Traic, 0-10V control, and DALI Dimming.
Drivers with dimming capability can dim the LED light output over the full range from 100% to 0%. Dimming drivers can dim LEDs by a reduction in the forward current, pulse width modulation (PWM) via digital control, or more sophisticated methods. Most dimming drivers operate using the PWM method.
In analog dimming, a DC current directly proportional to brightness and LED forward voltage flows through the LEDs. At lower DC currents, the LED forward voltages drop, resulting in slightly lower output power for the same brightness level.
Analog dimming is a viable alternative where the current through the LEDs is controlled by adjusting an analog voltage.
DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface), is the established interface standard for lighting control systems, enables 64 digital dimmable LED Drivers to offer application-specific flexibility for both small and extensive lighting systems. It to be individually addressed on a single line, DALI lighting control systems not only offer top-quality monitoring functions but also open up new opportunities for developing high-quality lighting solutions because the various parameters can be easily programmed.
